The idea behind KÄROL didn’t start in a brewery but at home.
My parents once joined a beer brewing course just for fun – and they were immediately hooked.
What began as a light-hearted experiment soon turned into a true passion for brewing, and before long, our whole family was involved (almost).
In 2015, the first beers were brewed and refined. Over time, the hobby grew.
2018 the name KÄROL came into existence.
Finally in 2023 I made the decision to turn this passion into my profession and start my own brewery.
Today, KÄROL Brewery stands for handcrafted beer with character. We combine tradition with creativity, offering unique craft beers that make every sip an experience.
KÄROL is a fusion of Kärnten (Carinthia) and Tirol (Tyrol). My father comes from Carinthia and my mother from Tyrol – together they inspired the name. It’s truly an homage to them, reflected in our coat of arms.
